SOLVER is a 3pce rock band from Newcastle, NSW who formed in 1999 and consists of brothers Morgan and Tom Evans with Nick Cook on Drums. SOLVER also received a great deal of critical acclaim for their Self-Titled EP and their single "I'll Be The One".
They were awarded Artist of The Year + Best Rock Act at MusicOZ in 2006 ahead of 5000 entries, Artist of The Year + Best Male Vocal + Best Young Talent at The ABC Music Awards in 2004, Artist of The Year + Best Song at YouthRock in 2002.
Morgan released a single through Sony/BMG called "Big Skies" which entered the ARIA Top 50 Singles Chart. Morgan toured, with backing from Tom and Nick, alongside Taylor Swift, Thirsty Merc, Shannon Noll & Brooks & Dunn as well as playing a great number great of festivals. With the recording time they had won at the MusicOZ competition in 2006 they returned to the studio, and with the help of legendary rock producer Mark Opitz (ACDC, INXS, Rose Tattoo, Cold Chisel etc.), they recorded 6 new tracks. |
